Nirvana Laser Hair & Skin Clinic
About Us

Staff

Nirvana is fully committed to medical excellence in the application of evidence-based modern light and laser therapies with the goal of helping to improve skin health and appearance. Permanent hair removal is performed full time by trained staff. Skin problems such as acne, rosacea, sun damage, bumpiness, discoloration, unsightly veins, and acne scars are managed on a daily basis with proven light based modalities. Tightening of skin and reduction of wrinkles is another option, with minimal downtime. The Cosmetic Medicine M.D. is your first step for complementary consultation.

The team at Nirvana includes a certified and licensed medical doctor as well as trained technicians who deliver sensitive and effective hair removal treatments by laser. The team’s training and experience in laser hair removal is current and of a high standard. Each patron is interviewed and examined by the doctor, followed then by individualized laser testing to further ensure safety and results. The consultation is performed without charge, pressure or obligation to proceed with treatment. It is imperative that each patron feels informed, prepared and comfortable prior to treatment. Treatments are delivered with care and sensitivity. Confidentiality is strictly upheld by both medical and reception staff. The scientific developments in skin care and rejuvenation are most impressive.

Nirvana has been pleased to employ technicians who have attained either foreign medical degrees or foreign nursing degrees. Although they are not licensed to practice in Canada, their background in either medicine or nursing is a valuable asset which allows Nirvana to provide them with the kind of focused training needed to provide a high quality treatment. Unfortunately, the Health Protection Branch of the Canadian government has not initiated any regulatory guidelines for laser technicians who operate light and laser technologies. Consequently, it has been incumbent upon the medical director to develop in-house training standards in order to ensure the technicians are well trained and fully competent.

We look forward to serving you!

Yong is a Chinese born and trained Radiologist.  He has no license to practice in Canada, now here since early 2010.  He would like to start work in a radiology setting but he knows it will take time to complete the requirements for licensure.  In the meantime, he will enjoy music in this artsy city, playing some of his own with guitar and drums.  He likes to cycle, play soccer, and shoot some photos as well.  He enjoys the company of his aunt in Saskatoon, but he befriends others easily, and will be well connected before long.
